Following the CT modality course, this one day technologist-focused course held at the Institute of Advanced Imaging in Irvine, California, provides a foundation of cardiac anatomy and physiology of volumetric image data. The vendor neutral advanced hardware stations are used to post-process in renderings that enhance the interpretation of the CT image data. The educational framework provides the tasks associated with 3-D image post processing for CT Cardiac scans acquired for Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring, Cardiac Vessel Analysis, and Cardiac Function Analysis to evaluate Systole, Diastole, Cardiac Output and Stroke Volume. In addition, Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement, to determine proper measurements for the balloon-expansive Edwards Sapien XT Valve, Medtronic self-expanding CoreValve for Valve sizing, and EP Planning for Pulmonary Veins Analysis. At the completion of this course, you will be proficient in the following operations: evaluating cardiac anatomy and physiology, 2-D Planar, and 3-D Volumetric Anatomy, Image Post-processing, Pathology for 3-D Post-processing, Procedures for 3-D Image Post-processing, and Quality Assurance in 3-D Image Post-processing.
